Sales! Shopping! Yuck!
Okay, you probably think I’m one sick ass women for saying Sales! Shopping! Yuck .. but it’s not the “shopping” that I’m yucking at, not even the “sales” part — it’s the crowds. I swear I’m breaking out in hives just thinking about them.
I understand that today would be the best day for me to go out and get the small wreaths I’d love to have put on the windows outside for next year, but I can’t move.
I can’t stomach the thought of having to park in the next county’s police jurisdiction and walking to the store to then have to fight with people for stuff on sale.
If you think these people were/are rude the day after Thanksgiving — you haven’t see anything yet.
After holiday sales for women effect them like buck fever does guys. Some of these women are actually frothing at the mouth to the point you believe a rabies shot will be necessary to even get close to them. And of course, the one with the worst temperament and body odor is the one you’re next to while trying to stuff as many items in your buggy before the next female hunter comes along.
Exhausting … and I’m not even doing it, just thinking and posting about it and I feel like I need a nap already. The closest I’m getting to a store today is the Winn Dixie up the road.

I went to Lowe’s to buy a leaf blower this afternoon…that was as close to “After Christmas” shopping as I plan on getting. LOL.

If there was ever a time to do your shopping online, it’s right after Christmas!
I remember working in retail at Christmastime. Before Christmas was bad — but the day after was HELL! We had to completely change the way we worked….set up separate stations for returns. As I was the lead cashier, the returns almost always fell to me. One year I remember doing a stack of refunds together, then standing behind cashiers waiting for one of them to finish a sale. While they bagged I snuck in a refund transaction, then stood back to wait for the next one to finish.
As bad as being in the store is, being behind that counter is worse!!
