I was reading through Michelle Malkin’s blog earlier today and came across this. My heart just ached as I read it. Then it broke when I saw the last quoted line.
You know my husband wears the uniform of freedom, as did I – but is this really freedom? I feel this is borderline psychotic speech and should be treated as such. These people really do need a rubber room with little white pills and coats.
How does a person get so filled with hate?
How does a good section of this country get so filled with hate?
Are they not just as hate filled toward us as Bin Laden is?
Am I comparing them to this monster?
Yes.
Again people – if you don’t like it, leave it. It’s obvious that the majority of this country don’t hold to your socialist (bordering on communist) beliefs, otherwise Al Snore Bore would be in the White House and not President G.W. Bush.

I doubt that many Democrats or sections of the country agree with the tone of the post at http://www.democraticunderground.com. I think the right approach for Republicans is to not worry too much about these nuts. The Democratic Underground of 2005 seems a lot calmer than the Weather Underground of 1970.

Jo, great post. The irony of no consequence (to the hate speakers) is that they have free speech because of soldiers, yet they abuse free speech and condemn patriots. The thing about freedom is that it requires responsibility, but some are too inept to be responsible. It’s rather like a one year old unable to care for himself or articulate his babblings with parents who give him free reign, within the confines of basic morale behavior (no killing or so on): it’s just embarrassing.
St. Paul wrote, “Don’t use your freedom for an occassion to sin”. Speaking in disgusting terms about a President or fellow citizens offers an occassion for bad things to happen, no doubt. The good news is that these people are limited by their own hatred and cannot function in the mainstream. That’s why they rely on the internet.
