More MSM Games

I just read that some news organizations are starting to call Zarqawi’s al-Qaeda fringe organization “al Qaeda in Mesopotamia”. I followed the provided link to Google and found that it is true. It looks limited in scope, but the New York Times is all over the page. Not sure if they got the term from AP/Reuters or if they did it themselves.

“Mesopotamia” is the Greek term for “Iraq”.

These news organizations are using this particular term so that they can report on news that obviously paints a picture of a link between al-Qaeda and Iraq, but playing with the terminology so that the uneducated among us will not see the link. They seem to forget, as they always do, that the bloggers are paying attention.

If this isn’t liberal media bias, I don’t know what is.
