Survivor: Guatemala 10/27/05

First the recap of last week’s show.

11 are left — who will go home tonight?

Night 15 - NAKUM is back at camp after TC and Judd hasn’t yet shut up. He’s glad Margaret is gone — we get it dude, put a sock in it! Lydia mentions she’s glad “that” is over with, and I’m thinking it’s Judd and Margaret’s ranting she’s talking about. Jamie mentions that Judd has a big mouth and let it continue to run. Sneaky one he is.

Day 16 - YAXHA. Bobby Jon is inspecting his wounds from the challenge with the big ball. His shirt is even stuck to one wound — eeuuu.

Reward Challenge. Four tribe members wrap material around themselves. One goes first, one to help. When all four members are wrapped up, they unwrap and run to the finish line. The reward? C H O C O L A T E!!! First a zip line tour of the jungle over head.

YAXHA wins!!

NAKUM heads back to camp being called Losers by Jeff. The CSM and I mention that Jeff seems to be nastier this season in his remarks toward the losers.

YAXHA is at the zip line after climbing up a rope bridge. Amy is afraid of heights. Come on big ‘ol cop gal — this should be nothing for you. She slides down and admits it was cool, but a once in a lifetime event. Bobby Jon enjoys his trip and Gary appears to float down. Brandon says it was cool flying through the air. Once down off the zip line everyone pigs out on the chocolate. Can we say sick to your stomach??? I love chocolate, but man was that a ton of it.

Day 17 NAKUM tribe and Rafe shows off his skills. He has taken some leaves and made them into playing cards. Now that’s smart. Solitaire anyone? While they are playing a game here comes the YAXHA tribe in their boat. It’s Danni’s birthday and she wants a party. YAXHA invites that NAKUM tribe to their pool for a relaxing time - no game talk, just fun. NAKUM is a little bit wary of the situation, but go anyway. Cindy bitched about it the whole time. Once at the YAXHA camp everyone hugs and they pass out their remaining chocolate. Everyone seems to be having a good time and getting along. Relaxing from the game — except for Jamie. He’s scoping out the competition and getting everyones number. Bobby Jon says it was a good thing, having fellowship and fun.

Day 18 NAKUM is sitting around the pool. Amy and Gary are talking about the being the only original YAXHA tribe members and she is feeling vulnerable. Amy tells Gary that she’s going to find out who he is, that he is a big football player and she’s going to kick his ass when she locates him. Gary tells the camera she can look all she wants, he’s not going to be where he’s told them he’s from. Gary — you forget she’s a cop.

Tree mail for the immunity challenge. Sounds like a puzzle to me. And yup, Jeff explains members have to find puzzle pieces buried in the sand and two members then have to assemble it when all the pieces are found.

NAKUM wins!

YAXHA to go to Tribal Council.

Back at the YAXHA camp Amy is feeling she has an uphill battle on her hands. Amy and Danni talk and Danni mentions that Bobby Jon has been here (Survivor) twice and does he deserve to stay? This gives Amy and idea that she can get everyone to turn on Bobby Jon. Gary agrees to go with Bobby Jon if everyone else does.

Bobby Jon is nervous and at least wants to make the Jury.

Dannie doesn’t know what to do. She talks to Brandon while it’s pouring down rain. Brandon is conflicted - but does Bobby Jon deserve to be there? Hmmmm

Tribal Council:
Vote: Amy, Bobby Jon, Amy, Amy — and Amy is voted out. There are tears and hugs.

But WAIT! What’s this Jeff? They aren’t going back to their old camp? M E R G E!!! Jeff hands out the new buffs, tells them to give them to the NAKUM tribe when they get there. Their stuff will be brought to them at the new camp.
