I awoke to a morning BG level of … drum roll please … 100!!
After 2 weeks on Lantus, I wish I had done this 6 months ago. My doctor was very pleased with my results.
I go back in 30 days. We are dropping my Actos intake from 45 mg to 30 mg for the next 2 weeks. Then after that, drop it again to 15 mg. If necessary, I can increase my Lantus from 10 units to 12 if my numbers start getting too close to 200 again.
The Actos is what is preventing any weight loss and I’ve gone from a size 6 @ 123# to a size 10 @ 150 pounds. I’m NOT a happy camper with this, but with the oral medication, weight loss is impossible.
I feel better that’s a fact. The CSM says I look fine, but I’d rather get back down to around 140 and a size 8 if possible. I have more 8s in my closet than 10s and spending money on clothes I may not be able to wear again is stupid …
… but when have you ever met a women that hates to shop?!

Hate is a strong word — I don’t care much for shopping, especially clothes shopping!
Then again, put me in a Bed, Bath and Beyond and I could stay for hours! Maybe I’m not entirely weird LOL

ACTOS keeps you from losing weight? Where did you get that information?
My girlfriend wants me to lose some weight. I’m 231 now and I’d like to see if I can get down to 210.
