It can take a lot of time to keep up with the trackbacks. I hardly have time to find posts to include in my daily specials plus write my own posts, let alone keep up with who is following the rules.
Which begs the question. Do I keep the blog, or does it keep me?

Actually, since I have the blog set to notify me at my g-mail account when something is posted, I open the email, follow the link from the poster … if the link to my post is there, then I do no more. But since I still have a small readership, I can do this.
