From Wednesday’s confirmation hearings for John Roberts, courtesy of The Buzz (HT: Powerline):
Senator Sessions just asked John Roberts if he’s aware of the salaries Court judges receive. Roberts answered that he’s aware of what his salary would be as Chief Justice. Sessions then asked, “You’re not going to be coming back here next week and asking for a raise are you?â€
Roberts, “No, not next week.â€
I can’t imagine keeping my sense of humor (such as mine is) through this.

You know how when you’re having to deal with someone that is vile and rude, but your job requires you to be nice and smile — but the whole time in your head you are repeating “asshole, asshole, asshole”? Wonder if Judge Roberts is doing something similar!
