Sick of the Blame Bush Crowd

Is anyone else sick to death of people blaming President Bush for what happened in New Orleans?

Is anyone else sick to death of people refusing to stand up and be counted for the things they are responsible for, but blame President Bush?

Well I sure am, and from my travels around the blogosphere, I’m not the only one.

Wake up people — President Bush is no more to blame for a weather event that destroyed a large part of the gulf coast than I am for the snow fall in southern Minnesota. Man does not control the weather — we live with it, we deal with it, and we survive it, but control is not an option.

Blaming President Bush for an event that he had no control over is stupid and immature. But then again, what can you expect from the loony left?

I ran out of sweetener for my coffee this morning — should I blame President Bush? Nope, it’s my own damn fault for not going by the store and buying some yesterday.

Via Blogs for Bush, I found Pardon My English an a opinion column by Aaron titled “Hurricane Katrina: “It’s All Bush’s Fault” Says Liberals”

Enough already.

For all these people who wouldn’t blame Clinton (or any Democrat for that matter) for his biggest self-inflicted debacles sure know how to direct blame for everything on President Bush–and whitey.

This has gone beyond absurdity, and represents a deeper problem. It’s all too easy to suggest that President Bush is too blame for the levees breaking, for not funding infrastructure improvements, for this, for that. If the critics who suggest that Bush should have known about the levees, might ask why not did the cities protected by levees do anything?

Read the whole post. He ties in what I posted below in Quit Your Damn Bitching.

Then Tre found this on Powerline:

So what prompted the order that prevented Hurricane Katrina from being a natural disaster of unprecedented magnitude?

The mayor called the order unprecedented and said anyone who could leave the city should. Gov. Kathleen Blanco, standing beside the mayor at a news conference, said President Bush called and personally appealed for a mandatory evacuation for the low-lying city, which is prone to flooding.

I hope and prayer that the people in this country that are still on the democratic side of the isle open their eyes during this time of disaster and see the hatred and race bating that is going on with the loony left — just because they don’t like President Bush. Then maybe we will have some hope in this country that the loony left won’t be taking over.

As stated on Powerline, the city of New Orleans owes President Bush…not hatred and blame, but a debt of thanks for taking a step that saved thousands MORE from being stuck in that death trap.

I heard one woman on the local news last night (she’s at a shelter here in Dallas) and she said, “I don’t blame the government, I blame myself because I didn’t leave when they told me to.”
