MSM eats their Own

Michelle Malkin directs us to a story about where the MSM is attacking one of it’s own for speaking out about what’s really going on in Iraq.

The post at Cam Edwards.com talks about the grief that columnist Mark Yost is getting from his fellow colleges for his column here. (If you need a login, go to bugmenot.com and grab one up)

Mr. Yost explains about being in contact with military friends in Iraq letting him know about what is going on over in Iraq that the MSM isn’t reporting, like:

I also get unfiltered news from Iraq through an e-mail network of military friends who aren’t so blinded by their own politics that they can’t see the real good we’re doing there. More important, they can see beyond their own navel and see the real good we’re doing to promote peace and prosperity in the world.

Why should anyone be surprised that the MSM is more worried about their own skin then that of the truth. Cam shows an excerpt from one of Yost’s colleges:

You have insulted them and demeaned them, and to a much lesser degree, demeaned the reporters everywhere who have been threatened with bodily harm, who have been screamed at, or denied public records, just because they wanted to present the closest approximation to the truth they could.

Threatened with bodily harm? By whom?
Screamed at? Big harry fracking deal — get a thicker skin.
Denied public records? If they were public, why are you saying you were denied them?
Wanted to present the closest(?) approximation(?) of the truth they could? Aren’t you suppose to “report the unbiased” truth?

These reporters attacking Mr. Yost are simply throwing off their camouflage coat showing us what the majority of us in this country already know:

The MSN is a left wing attack machine that wouldn’t know the truth if it jumped up and bit it in the ass. I applaud Mr. Yost for standing up for the truth and reporting it as it is — not as it is twisted by the MSM.

I read your response to the Mark Yost peice at Camedwards. Well put and accurate. Michael Yon is another good source, as you’ve mentioned, along with many other military web logs (A Collection of Thoughts, LeatherneckM31, etc.). All the informed opinion seems to point in the same direction; the spin is with the appeasment and surrender group. It’s a curious thing to compare the coverage from the 1940’s to that from today. Curious and troubling.
I have added you to my list of blogs to read, so keep up the good work.

Awesome! Bravo for Mr. Yost! If only more would stand up for the truth!

Kind of like the whole Bob Novak / Valerie Plame thing: reporters stand up for freedom of the press and all that jazz, until it’s a CONSERVATIVE reporter. Then, it’s off with ‘is ‘ead!

    Yo, Dan, from High Point!
