Bubba came through his surgery very well. The lower jaw did ‘not’ have to be removed, but they did remove a good portion of the jaw in the back. The Vet Assistant said the tumor was extensive, but they feel good they got it. We won’t know until it comes back from the lab.

He was in ICU last night when I talked to the Assistant, but he’d been outside to use the bathroom. Like people that have to use the bathroom before they leave the hospital, Bubba has to eat first before he comes home. He will be eating soupy meals for a while until he heals, kind of like after a human has dental work and then has to use a straw for a while.

We are relieved to say the least. But I won’t feel better until he’s home. That could be tonight or tomorrow. We want him home yes, but I don’t want to rush it.
