Before I start this list, let me explain the birth of this blog and how it moved to where it is now.

In December 2004 I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. After going through the internet and reading everything I could get my hands on, I was still having problems – mostly emotional. I found several diabetes/illness related sites out here on the net, and that was my inspiration. I started out on Blogger posting my thoughts on my new site “Diabetes and Me”. This was in January. In February, our dog Bubba was diagnosed with mouth cancer. I started “Our Boys” Blog on Blogger for everything related to Bubba and Otis and Bubba’s treatments. Finally, I started a personal blog just for family and friends which is not open to the public.

About April I realized trying to keep up with 3 blogs was just plain stupid. Plus – I didn’t have the time. I also wanted somewhere I could post about other stuff we like, ie: news, politics, sports, entertainment, etc. and keep the diabetes and our boys stuff too. I began searching for a place to do this away from Blogger. (Blogger is free, but you have to put up with major problems with the server and the themes suck) I chose Blogs About Hosting because of the price and ease of use, and WordPress.

Now I have a place to complain about stuff I want to complain about, talk about my Diabetes and Thyroid conditions, our dogs, and whatever else I want to.

1. Born in Minnesota
2. Served 3 years in the US Army
3. Am married to a US Army 1SG retired SGM.
4. Played the flute in high school band.
5. Hold a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do.
6. Was a Pom Pom girl in high school.
7. No children here.
8. Won a gold medal in my first TKD competition.
9. My first away from the farm job was as a waitress at an A&W.
10. Roller Skating on Sat nights was the “in thing” to do growing up.
11. I have 3 sisters (two half, one full) and a half brother.
12. I have 4 nieces and 1 nephew (at this time).
13. I have been married once before.
14. I have worked for two police departments and one probation department.
15. I am an insurance agent.
16. Bought my first car when I was in the Army.
17. On my 2nd 3rd Saturn, waiting to be able to buy my 3rd a red VUE.
18. Have lived in MN, AL, KY, GA, TX, and AL respectively.
19. Loves Star Trek, Stargate, Babylon 5, Doctor Who, Torchwood … oh you get the picture.
20. Have a high school education, no college here.
21. Have had only one galfriend I truly miss loosing contact with.
22. Have an internet galfriend I’ve never met, for going on 12 years now.
23. Clothes Shopping is MORE than just “buying” what you need.
24. I love to read.
25. I hate gave my treadmill away.
26. Would love to visit Germany and/or Australia.
27. Have never been outside the United States
28. I have been a Type II Diabetic since December 2004.
29. I do not have a thyroid.
30. My husband “is” my best friend EVER.
