By now everyone not living under a rock or below the ocean without communication has heard about Nancy Pelosi’s latest stupid stunt.  In her need to bash all that is or was, or could be, the Bush Administration, she has tried six times to “clarify” what she knew and when she knew it about the horrible interrogation techniques.  You know the ones – the water boarding that was so “inhuman” to them poor ‘ittle terrorist kept down in the that awful place called Gitmo. 

Let’s not forget, these horrible little terrorists are associated with, or part of, the all encompassing terrorist group what took down the Twin Towers, hit the Pentagon, and attempt to hit the White House on 9/11/2001.  But of course, the liberals, and their leader Pelosi, have already forgotten that.  Lord knows you can’t harm ‘ittle ol’ terrorists after the death of 3,000+ people in the United States.  That would be, geez, just god awful! (But killing babies in the womb is ok right?)

But where was Pelosi’s Botox boosted outrage in 2002?

In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA’s overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

“The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough,” said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange.

The lack of outrage could have been the time since 9/11 to the briefing. But still. If she had concerns, like she claims now, she should have ridden on her broom to the media room and started screeching then. Now doesn’t cut it for me.

Ol’ Grand Nan has been caught in a lie. 

She knows it.

She knows we know she knows it.

Yet she continues to try and blame it all on the Bush Administration – going so far as to even blame the CIA.

Please, someone explain to Pelosi that pissing off the CIA might not be such a good thing to do.  Doesn’t matter if you’re a liberal hack from California or not.
