Going to Far?

Don’t buy American.

Or – Don’t Buy GM.

This really sucks because I drive a GM made vehicle.  A Saturn VUE.  Its my third one in fact and LOVE this car! I didn’t realize how despised this vehicle was in the automobile industry until all this government take over (ie: bailout) crap started. I see lots of Saturns on the roads and every owner of one that I have met love their models. We have at least give Saturns in the lot at work.

This situation where the President of the United States can reach down into a privately owned company and boot the CEO out without anyone in Congress rising up and lifting the roof in anger is beyond the pale.   (Angry emails are heading to the House and Senate Minority Leaders).

Now that he has dipped his hand into total control of private companies, bail-out funds or not, and there has been no backlash from anyone on the hill, he can start moving on other private companies.

You think your workplace sucks now?  Wait until Obama sends in his union army under the GIVE ACT to take over.  Watch as your boss is booted to the curb and a Union Boss is put in charge.   All on the premise that your company might be in trouble.

Obama wants to choke the life out of private industries and put them under total government and union control.  What happens when the government runs something?  Been to the post office lately?

Really — let me ask you this folks, and I want honest answer in comments, not liberal parroting.

Would Hillary have been this stupid?

I think not folks, I think not.

The only problem is.. GM gave up its right to non government interference when they went hat in hand for money to survive. As soon as they did that they gave control to the US Government.. now I would be just as irrate if they tried it with a company that did not go begging for their survival to the government..

GM stopped being private when they asked for the government to invest in them. That effectively gave the government control as a major investor to ask for the removal of the CEO which is somewhat normal in any company. Get 51% and you can control somewhat who has what positions within a company.

Chris, I agree – I think the fear is that this won’t stop at government bailed out companies. But GM asked, so now the reaper is calling in the bill.
