The Urban Dictionary defines Street Cred thus:

Commanding a level of respect in an urban environment due to experience in or knowledge of issues affecting those environments

There are several definitions, one being a point factor, with the first 5 points given if one is born black.  Take the time to read through them all.  Its really fascinating.

Barack Hussein Obama has lost a lot of street cred with the country as of late, but maybe not in his world.  See breaking the law is one of the street cred definition point factors.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that the issues Timothy “Turbo Tax” Geithner had, or Tom Daschle, or other problems democrats have (think Charlie Rangel), because breaking the law gives them street cred in Obama’s world.

Morals.  I think it boils down to a lack of morals.  Well, at least morals I grew up with anyway.   Mother always taught us morals where what people would remember you by.  If you were fair, even when being attacked (I need to remember this one on Twitter), then even if you lose, you are remembered by how fair you were and how you lost.  Same goes for when you win.  Strutting around like a peacock, rubbing your win in your opponents face and saying, “I Won” leaves a bad taste in the loser’s mouth.  Its really immature too.  Its the kind of stuff you see on the playgrounds of school where young children are getting their first taste of competitive sports. 

Obama’s street cred has rising to maximum points within his community, whether that’s the black community or the democrat community, but his is the ultimate in their eyes.  They forget he shouldn’t get a whole five points for being born black, but he’s half black.  That doesn’t matter to them.  They attack others not within their community for the smallest faults (think Bristol Palin), but turn a blind eye to the failings and short-comings of the top dude in their own community.  They are hypo-crats.  And they have no morals.

I’ll take morals over street cred any day.
