Doctor Obama
Below is what I submitted to House Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) in regard to the universal health-care being stuck in the spending bill.
For the love of all that is holy do everything you can to get rid of the Universal Health care out of this bill.
I am a diabetic with a thyroid condition. With this bill, my doctor will be forced to treat me to “government” standards, based on other diabetics and thyroid patients.
Each patients medical treatment should be based on their needs and what gives them their quality of life back to them. This bill takes that away from me as a patient, my doctor and frankly, I believe that violates a whole lot of my rights to freedom in this country.
PLEASE get this out of the bill. The health of this nation is at stake.
I really do not believe you want us to look like Europe, where people are chosen for medical treatment based on cost and their age.
Please!
Thank You.
There is no cookie-cutter treatment plan for every condition people may have. What works for me may not work for you and vice verse.
On top of that, if your doctor doesn’t fall in lock-step behind Dear Leader, they will be penalized out of business:
The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.
But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”
Keeping doctors informed of the newest medical findings is important, but enforcing uniformity goes too far.
Hospitals and doctors that are not “meaningful users” of the new system will face penalties. “Meaningful user” isn’t defined in the bill. That will be left to the HHS secretary, who will be empowered to impose “more stringent measures of meaningful use over time” (511, 518, 540-541)
So thank you Obama lovers who wanted the first black-man in office without knowing what he was made of.
YOU did this to our country!
I hope you can live with yourself.
I’m just going to do the best I can to stay alive.

Everyone… all of us would like a healthcare system that was perfect. Nobody would be shoved to the side, no disease would be neglected. But we don’t live in a perfect world and anyone who says that turning heathcare over to the government is the answer… is also apt to get a foot stictched on where their brain used to be.
What we need is 300 million folks dedicated to a better future and not blindly hell bent on our new messiah. We are… as it stands right now, a nation ready to leap off the ledge on command.
I ain’t jumping.

The extent to which politicians will go to destroy the lives of the people they claim to represent and care about never ceases to amaze. I published a post on the same topic/reference and expect few will care. However, like you, I contacted my so-called elected reps and again expect few will care.
I am at a loss to understand what is either apathy, indifference or agreement with what is going on in Washington and the state and local level. Did someone put something in the water? What disaster do we require to get Americans engaged again?
