Welcome to the first WeekEND Wrap for 2009.   Four years blogging and still learning growing and moving forward.  No, I’m not going to look back at 2008, just this past week, then forward to new horizons and what will challenge us in the future (or at least into the next week).

Fan of “24” are preparing for January 11, 2009.  Jack Is Back!!!  The TV Squad got their press kit and showed us what was inside.  Please remember if you are wanting to contact this household at that time — don’t bother.  No cellphone or land-line will be in service. 

While we’re on the subject of watching TV, the TV Squad has a question for you:  Could you go without cable TV?  Interesting article, so please jump over and take a gander.  To that end, once you’re done reading that article, jump over to makeuseof.com’s post, The Best Tools To Watch TV On Your Computer.    The SGM(r) and I have taken to watching more and more via our computers, so the idea is not an odd one.

Last night I found this disturbing information from Gateway Pundit: Pro-Hamas Protesters in Florida Tell Jews: “Go Back to the Ovens” .  Jaw drop.  I read it to the SGM(r) and he said, “Freedom of Speech is being used as Freedom to Harm.  You know if it was a bunch of white folks protesting against our PE being black, they’d arrest them all spewing hate speech.  But to spew hate speech against Jews is okay in America.”  Well, it shouldn’t be – it is hate speech PERIOD!

What Twitter client do you use?  I am trying TweetDeck today.  Once installed, I found a bunch of replies that weren’t showing up on twhirl. I like twhirl and will continue to use it at work, and of course TwitterBerry for my Blackberry use, but wow! TweetDeck has a lot of extra stuff I like so far.   But then you need to add the RSS feed for TwiTip too!  Great information at that blog.

So, the weekend plans are few, gym and beauty shop for me.  I have two gift cards left to redeem from Christmas, but otherwise, prepping the SGM(r) for another roadtrip for work and normal weekend household chores.
