Something Borrowed, Something Blue
It appears that what is old (and blue) is new again! Trust me on this folks, these old penny’s just need to be tossed – the bloom has long gone off the rose.
Tom Dashle is the new/old addition to the Barry O administration.
Obama Picks Daschle for HHSPresident-elect Barack Obama has chosen his close confidant and former Senate Majority Leader Thomas Daschle to serve as secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, according to several sources close to the transition.
Dashle is seven years older than my mother and a year after I graduated high school, he was elected to the US House.
Of course we all know that Sen. H. Clinton (her thighness) has apparently been approached for the Secretary of State position. This is one I would accept actually – get her out of the Senate!
Let’s see who else we can find in this “new” administration…
Eric Holder for attorney general. You remember him right? Oh come on … think Clinton Administration. Yep, you got it, that Eric Holder!
The former deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration, who’s now President-elect Barack Obama’s reported choice to be attorney general, is expected to be confirmed by the Senate – but not without some serious scrutiny of his involvement in President Bill Clinton’s controversial pardon of fugitive financer Marc Rich.
Then there is Rahm Emanuel for White House Chief of Staff.
Rahm Emanuel is known for his combative style, his expletive-laced language and his deep desire for partisan victory. As an Illinois congressman and part of the House Democratic leadership, those qualities have proved helpful in extending the Democratic majority and pushing the party’s agenda.
But picking the hard-charging Emanuel—Obama’s first major post-election decision—seems at odds with the consensus-minded manner of an incoming president who promises to unite red and blue America.
I could go on, but you probably have heard it all already. But really – come on now – is this really the “change we can believe in”? Barry O isn’t change folks. He’s just the same underneath as the old party hacks he’s picking to support and guide him.

From where I sit, there’s nothing new under the sun with Barky Obama. If anything, he looks to be merely picking up where Slick Willie left off in late 2000.

Someone (probably Rush) said the reson he’s picking these Clinton has-beens is because he is so green he really doesn’t know anyone else.
