WeekEND Wrap

Can someone explain to me why the young in this country have never learned manners?  Sen. B.H. Obama called Sen. McCain by his first name danged near every time he referenced him at the debate last night.

Sen. Obama,  you call people by their titles unless they ask you not.  Its disrespectful you ass!

I saw several people mention just that on Twitter last night.  And my  mom-in-law mentioned it to hubby while they watched.

Disrespecting people won’t get you too far Barack – try that with Putin … in public.

I can totally appreciate people wanting a change  in this country – but what they fail to understand is that no matter what, there will be a change in the leadership of this country after Nov. 4.  Sen. McCain is not President Bush by a long shot.  And Sen. Obama is so left Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-Il are squealing with anticipation of having another communist nation in the mix.

Wake up people … think  …  Sen. John McCain will not be able to overturn Roe vs Wade.  You accused Pres. Bush of going to do that … did it happen?

{sigh}

One more week and the SGM(r) comes home from his trip to Fort Bragg.  He ended up having to buy a jacket because it got so cold up there.  When he packed to leave he never thought he’d need one.  Fall has arrived!!

… and now for your reading pleasure:

  1. Schwarzenegger signs bill banning texting by motorists – San Jose Mercury News - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday signed into law a measure banning motorists from text-messaging and e-mailing while operating a vehicle.
  2. Joe Biden says Barack Obama might pursue criminal charges against Bush administration if elected - Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said earlier this week that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.
  3. The video that Barack Obama doesn’t want you to see.  – As Glenn notes, it’s not especially vicious. One issue, yes. Unsympathetic, also yes. But this is hardly “Obama drinks baby blood,” or something. So why is Obama sending out the legal dog pack against stations that air it?
  4. Shrink your Outlook PST by Removing Your Email Attachments - … it would be wise to at least strip the attachments from your messages saving them elsewhere. This slims down your PST (Personal Folders File) and makes your files readily accessible without having to find the message, open it and then the attachment.
  5. Snopes Clearly In The Tank for Obama - Well, I just suspected it before, but now I see it in truth. Snopes, known for its myth-busting abilities, has been blatantly “fact-checking” for Obama and McCain rumors.
  6. Recover Your Lost XP, Vista & Office Serial Numbers - The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware open source utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install Windows from your registry. It allows you to print or save your keys for safekeeping. It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, Office XP, Office 2003, and Office 2007 family of products.

Have a great weekend everyone … see you Monday with a new DiabetesNOW!

Joe Biden says Barack Obama might pursue criminal charges against Bush administration if elected –

Talk about spin and taken out of context. i am probably the furthest left of anybody (see my blog http://www.dumbpolitics2008.com) but do you all realize that this really really HURTS Obama . While his supporters will be the first to burn Bush and Cheney at the stake (and I would love to be the one to light the match) the undecided voters, the ones who haven’t made up their minds, are the ones Obama needs to win and this will leave a bad taste in their mouths.

If you read the original article, you will see what Biden said was

“If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued – not out of vengeance, not out of retribution, out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law.”
