Lipstick, Heels, and Zingers: Sarah Palin Rocks!

Thursday, 4 September 2008, 6:27

You know I was going to vote McCain in November, no matter the running mate, mainly against the liberal communist hoard on the left that wants to destroy my country.

Uh uh — not any longer.

I’m voting for the Republican ticket because of Sarah Palin.

Yes, I will admit it.

I am women, wear heels and lipstick.   Sarah Palin is my hero.

Republican vice presidential nominee Alaska Governor Sarah Palin speaks at the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 3, 2008.

This women had three great warm-up acts from Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani. Mike Huckabee has always had a quick wit, and Romney can cut you down with a smashing smile. But Rudy put the nail in the coffin of the Obama Machine and held out the hammer for Sarah.

She came out and whacked away at that nail.

Zing after zing she worked away: Nailing Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and the Media.

Yes yes yes — the speech was written for her; they all are you dhimwhit.   But the person giving the speech is what makes it fall flat or blow the roof off the building.

The liberal (sucking Obama’s hind teat) media are pissed this morning because she didn’t talk about healthcare and there were too many personal attacks.

And Oh My God they are so upset by the personal attacks.

Not like Sarah Palin and her family haven’t put up with personal attacks?

Sean Hannity is right – journalism as it once was is dead.   Have a funeral, kick in the dirt – it’s over.

This woman kicked sand in the face of the media and the liberal party for turning their backs on women and they are sputtering for responses and looking like asses.

Hockey Mom (with Lipstick):  1 – Liberals: 0

Thoughts?

PS: Note, ugliness will not be tolerated.  I have a comment policy.

I know I said I was going to watch it, but – sadly – I missed it! You KNOW I’ll be watching it tonight on Youtube. Can you ever forgive me, Jo?

Jo, I just love Sarah Palin, she is the best thing going to happen to our country in like a long, long, long, time. I am so excited about voting for the McCain ticket now….. This is going to be so much fun to see what they do in Washington. Wouldn’t want to be the liberal media any longer…. guess what I think it will be out of style. Thank goodness change is going to be fun. All the normal politicians are going be freaking out… what no more do nothing… waaaa waaa. Glad to find another Conservative Republican that is excited again..

Sarah Palin is an embarrassment, to herself, to her party, and to America. She was a reckless choice for VP on John McCain’s part. I, as a democrat, am also excited about the Palin pick. Hopefully she will singlehandedly sink this Republican ship! Meanwhile, all of us progressively-minded people will sit and watch while the country that has been put in such peril (by McCain and Palin’s own party) is reformed to reflect the wants and needs of the majority of Americans. Palin did not mention healthcare, and more importantly, the economy. I find it interesting that such a “strong” VP candidate would not discuss ISSUE #1 here in America!
Palin – a GREAT pick for the Democrats, and embarrassment for Republicans!

Well Kristin, at least this comment isn’t as hate filled, almost, as your last.

See, I don’t believe healthcare is an issue. I do not believe in cradle to grave “government” control – and that’s what you want.

Sorry, I want to make my own choices, own mistakes without Nanny Obama telling me what I can and cannot do.

I want to choose my own doctor – not one the government says I have to use.

Speaking of embarassments – how about that Joe Biden? Now there’s change from the old Washington establishment the Messiah has been preaching about. Joe Biden’s been in Washington almost as many years as the out of wedlock made Messiah has been alive.

Yes, you hate us because we believe in God, “cling to our guns and religion” and think you’re better than us because of your educational choices – but deary, I bet you poop the same way I do.

Sad to see a woman acting like this toward another woman – but then I forget that you liberals (you are not a democrat my dear, you are a liberal) want “do as I say, not as I do”.

Thanks for stopping by, but I won’t miss you if you don’t came back.

Now I have to fumigate the place.

Just to be clear, I do not hate anyone at all. I especially do not hate people based on their religious views. What I DO hate, is people who do hold religious views trying to cram their morals down my throat. Please feel free to do what you would like to do, and please observe you own morals. I think that is great. However, do not project your morals onto my life. I should be free to observe my own ethical parameters.
If you have done any research involving socialized medicine (as I have done, both anecdotally, through friends, and through research as a person working in the healthcare industry) you would find that one is not necessarily restricted as to what physician you see. Your HMO sure tells you who to see, and may or may not pay for services that you need, right? In countries where healthcare is provided, you will see a much higher level of satisfaction with the healthcare system, a much higher level of preventative care, and a much higher level of contentment among the general population than in the United States now.
I really do not see the point of criticizing Obama for being born out of wedlock. Would you prefer his mother had had an abortion? Gasp!
Joe Biden is an excellent, highly qualified leader. He is a wonderful compliment to the Obama campaign, a strong seasoned veteran who knows the inner workings of Washington and has an excellent grasp of foreign policy.
I am not a “do as I say, not I as I do” person. I am a “lead by example” and “be the change you want to see in the world” sort of person. I believe that it starts with us, and if we do not vote to drag this country out of the economic, environmental, and political doldrums that the Bush administration has put us in, I will be sorely disappointed. The only way that the disgusting Bush “Legacy” can continue is if we allow Bush’s political doppelganger, McCain to preside over our country.
I am a liberal and a democrat. I am progressive and support the advancement of ALL women, even if I do not agree with them. I just pity the women who are not strong enough to fight for their own rights, and jump on the bandwagon of the status quo.

You said, “Please feel free to do what you would like to do, and please observe you own morals.”

Another, do as I say, not as I do.

    ::: sigh :::

As for socializd medicine, 23 years of military service about covers all I need to know about how people are treated under government healthcare.

I would have preferred Barack Obama’s mother to have had the morale’s to not get pregnant out of wedlock (kinda what the liberals are saying about Bristol Palin – again, do as I say, not as I do)

Bye Kristin – have a great life!

  7. 7Sean

Er… Jo, I stumbled this site, and it looks to me as if you completely ignored everything Kristin said except for the parts of statements you could easily twist… Also, not everyone has the same morals, like Kristin said, it’s annoying when people shove their morals down others’ throats.

I’m going for Mrs.P and (BIG) John, she got my vote at the end of the finest speech I have ever heard in my 69 years of life. I’m sick of the big spending and do nothing demo-craps nancy (sit on her hands) policy and dum dum reid from nevada.I think Mrs. Palin will go to Washington d.c. and kick the libs butt big time.If it works and they start to hurt Mrs.P in any way there will be such an uproar from the public it will set the libs back 100 years. I PRAY I’M RIGHT

WHAT MODERATION, PRINT WHAT I WROTE!!!!! I MEAN EVERY WORD OF IT. IF YOU DON’T PUT IT ON YOUR A BUNCH OF CHICKENS

I’m a Sarah Palin fan. Can’t actually show my support by voting, since I’m not in the US! But she’s certainly made a splash. Everyone’s talking about her here in Australia.

The liberal media are going to keep trying to paint her as a hypocrite and a dinosaur, as well as out of her depth. But all these accusations are false. And the people know it. The slimier they get in their attacks, the more respect she will gain from voters.

It’s still a neck and neck race. But choosing Palin was a brilliant move. Could just win it for the Republicans, I reckon.

it seems like all of the liberals are stating what a big mistake mccain made choosing palin. palin will undoubtably be a huge plus for mccain unless she has a enormous skeleton in her colset. ie. sexual relations in her office with an intern half her age, making $100,000 in the cattle futures in less than a week, belonging to a church where the pastor preaches of hate toward other races, has close relations with a known terrorist. the longer it goes the less likly there is anything haunting in her past. they have been digging for over a week and all the have is the daughters pregnacy and the ex brother in law. which both will prove to be non issues.

Blog Owners Note: Corrected some spelling per poster’s request.

  12. 12Jo

Sean said “like Kristin said, it’s annoying when people shove their morals down others’ throats.”

Ah, Sean, NOW started out by preaching freedom for women, get out of the house, go to work, break that glass ceiling.

Now that we have a women that is doing just that – but is a republican – oh wait .. put on the brakes! We didn’t mean republican women, just liberal women.

Its a 2 edged sword. Nancy Pelosi had 5 children during her move up the ladder in the Senate .. where was the outrage then for her not staying home?

Good morning; I woke up this morning to your answer. When I submitted my comment last night it came back to me(awaiting moderation), I assumed it would not be posted until I moderated its content. I wasn’t about to do that, hence my second comment. have a nice day Ron Tyson

I totally hear you!! As a 30 something woman, I too have found my hero in Sarah. What a woman! Actually, after hearing McCain’s speech and realzing what he’s been through and the choices he made while a POW, I don’t agree with some of his soft views, but he really is also a hero. And he was so humble and appreciative. He focused so much on others, not himself, and I also admire his choice of Sarah…. it shows strength and humility on his part because he chose a woman, an unknown, and someone who he knew would eclipse him.

But as for Sarah, she is so awesome and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about her and googling her name all week! She’s just so inspiring and she amazes me with all she has accomplished and how unpretentious and humble and yet fearless she is. I can’t believe that she sold the jet and got rid of the cook. That alone tells you what kind of person she is. She has a beautiful family, and she is smart, sharp, and so hard-working. She doesn’t just talk, she gets things done.

I am glad she addressed Obama too. Same thing with Guilianni and Fred Thompson and Lieberman (I missed Huckabee and Romney). As they say, “the truth hurts,” but it really is the truth and it needed to be said. Too many people are blinded by Obama’s celebrity appeal. Guilianni pointed out how Obama has led “nothing, nada, zero.” People are just following his “star”… his blackness, his charisma, his promises. I heard his speech too, and while it was charismatic, I cringed at how he promised all these things and I thought, “Where on earth is the money going to come from?!” And then I thought that if he won, it wouldn’t take long before many of his supporters would turn on him in anger because there is no way he can fulfill some of those promises he made. People want him to be their god.

Well, anyways, I just love Sarah, and I’ve never seen such anger from Democrats before. I mean, they are so mad that they are basically just name-calling, insulting, and trying to smear her. Their faces are red, their fists are shaking, and they feel out of control and don’t know what to do about the threat Sarah poses to the election. And there she is, with grace and dignity and strenth, addressing it with humor and poise and rising above it. It’s because she is focused, passionate, and purposeful. That’s why I admmire her so much.

P.S. I don’t care that she didn’t address the economy or health care for two reasons.

For one, health care is an extremely difficult issue to “solve” and there are no easy answers to the problem. I don’t think any candidate can just give some solution or fix to it, and I do not think universal health care is a good idea.

Also, I do not agree that the economy is as bad as the media makes it out to be (at least, it is not bad compared to many other countries). I know that people are struggling, but some of that is because people have dug their own holes and then sunk in them. They live on debt buying cars, houses, and stuff trying to “keep up with the Jones’” and then, after they recklessly spend all their money and have loads of debt, that is when the economy suddenly seems bad. People want to blame government for things that are there own doing.

Now, I know there are others who this isn’t the case, and I agree that gas prices and food and other things are high, but we, Americans, still have it FAR better than many other countries and sometimes I think we are just very ungrateful, unappreciative and also greedy and spoiled and we don’t know how to make do with little… we just want, want, want and so we complain when prices go up.

It’s also very hard, though, to lose a job or home, but I don’t think these things are all government’s fault, and I also think that America is still a pretty darn well-off place economically.

Personally, I am far more concerned about terrorism and foreign policy, and McCain is far more experienced with those issues. I feel much safer with him as a leader than Obama who reminds me of Neville Chamberlain with Hitler (he tried to be “nice” and talk things out and Hitler called him a “worm” behind his back and then did all he did).
