		<description>It is the mother who should be embarrassed by her bratty child.

Where we lived (until we moved to Korea 3 weeks ago), kids were proud of their parents and it was actually cool to have your mom show up for lunch with you at school in jr and high school. No fooling!  &quot;Sir&quot; and &quot;Ma&#039;am&quot; is in in good circles.  But there are always segments of society that are rude and not up to speed on what families should look like.  

Embarrassing for them. And good for you telling that girl she was rude.  She indeed is.

		<description>I believe what you witnessed was typical teenager embarassment at parents.  Similar to the stuff they show on TV, where the parent is driving the kid to school and he asks to be dropped off a half mile away (rather than be seen with mom or dad).

That said, it sounds as if this situation was ruder than usual.  I hope that mom did something about it when they got home...and I&#039;m GLAD you said something to that girl.  Perhaps it will make her think.</description>
