Lauren Burk’s Murderer: Serial Criminal
Okay – maybe not serial in the sense of dozens of crimes [who really knows what his past history is], but then anyone that would threaten to shoot a child to get his mom’s purse and later murder isn’t a starter criminal.
From WTVM, Columbus, GA:
Talking with Aiden Bucher, no one would be able to tell the three-year-old had a gun pointed at his head just last Thursday.
He and his mother, Rachel Bucher, had just started loading groceries into their car outside of Sam’s Club at Columbus Park Crossing, when a man in another car pulled up behind them and walked over to Aiden with the weapon.
“I honestly thought he was just asking to take my cart when I was done with it, and instead he said, ‘Do you want me to shoot your kid,’” said Rachel Bucher, Aiden’s Mom.
Bucher said the man took her purse then drove off, but not before she got a look at the licence plate and the car’s color.
The next day, police called and said they had a suspect in custody…Courtney Lockhart, the same man they believed killed Auburn freshman Lauren Burk.
The two crimes here in the Columbus, GA and Auburn, AL area are connected, but the murder of Eve Carson in NC is not.

Wasn’t there a Russell Co/Lee Co kidnapping, ATM drive, car burning in the last couple of weeks? Girl escaped.
I wonder if Lockhart is connected to that?

The Houston Astros hat that Eve Carson’s killer was wearing does have a gang affiliation. The “H†logo pays homage to Larry Hoover who was in various incarnations of the Black Gangster Disciples, which he founded. Throughout the 60’s Hoover created alliances and “nations†of gangs in the Chicago area. Lemaricus Davidson, the lead “accused” black slayer of Channon Christian and Chris Newsome was also a BGD– and we know what THAT means–the murder of Eve Carson could not POSSIBLY have been racially motivated–lol.

Craig, thanks for the information. I will say that I was not totally shocked when the gang information started. These people will kill if you look at them sideways. What a sad situation .. two lives full of hope destroyed over what? Greed? Wait .. isn’t greed one of the 7, now 14, deadly sins? Hmmm
