It took a Russell County jury just 15 minutes to convict Robert Justus of the first-degree rape, sodomy and sexual abuse of a 9-year-old girl.Justus, 37, formerly of 44 All American Drive, faces life in prison or life in prison without the chance of parole for the acts he committed against the girl he and his estranged wife used to baby-sit, District Attorney Kenneth Davis said.
The range of sentencing, expected in January, is because of prior felony convictions.”He has been previously convicted of the sexual abuse of an 8-year-old child,” Davis said. “He’s also been convicted of failure to register as a sex offender.”

Why do sex-offenders get three strikes? This piece of garbage should have been sentenced under the jail the first time! How many victims do you have to have before the offender is removed from the planet?

A Russell County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for sexually abusing a nine year old girl. Tuesday morning Judge George Green sentenced thirty nine year old Robert Justus to life in jail without parole for rape and sodomy. The crime happened in 2003 from May until September.
Investigators say Justus knew the victim because his wife was her baby sitter.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Buster Landreau says he was glad Justus got life in jail. “Robert Justus has two prior convictions, one in Georgia for child molesting and the other for aggravated child molesting. So we think it is extremely important because these people don’t stop being predators” said Landreau.
Unfortunately like I noted in the original post, it took three victims to put this man away for life. Personally, I have no problems with the death penalty for these bastards, but I can’t see the liberal court system going that far - yet.

His ex wife was an enabler, she knew of his prior convictions and ran with this man from Ga originally. He stole things to help feed her child she gave birth to after her ex husband divorced her for sleeping around. So at that point she could care less. She shoved her own kids right in his face with the knowledge that he was suppose to stay away from kids. If a person robs a bank and there is someone sitiing in the car that knows its happening and does nothing, they are just as guilty. If she knew he was a predator she should have kept him away from other peoples children. She should be charged as well in my opinion for being negligent to all the children she has helped him come in contact with.
