I received a comment on this post, “Another Local Pediophile” wanting to know what happened to Jonathan Hyung Boyd.

** Update 01/23/08:  While digging through my local posts for something else, I found this.  Evidently I had updated this case already, but didn’t recall it. 

Doing a search on the Ledger-Enquirer brought up nothing and digging into the archives found this excert from a story in April 2007:

Jonathan Hyung Boyd, a renowned martial arts competitor, sobbed his apology as he pleaded guilty Thursday to several counts of child molestation. “I’m truly sorry that I’ve put everyone through this,” said Boyd, 24, who molested and videotaped several boys he taught as a karate instructor. “I know what it’s like to go through pain. I hate that I’ve affected people in this way.”

I will not pay for the whole article, but this is enough to answer the commentor’s question.  All other searches on the internet came up blank.

Having a belt in a martial art discipline this just makes me sick.
