Morning Shower
*DH was up before the crack of dawn today for work. By the time I’d gotten the coffee started we hit the shower at the same time.
Me: “When I fell asleep on the couch last night … ”
DH: “The bitch won. Oh, so did McCain.”
Me: “The water is too cold.”
DH: “Shut-up, its not.”
I figured Hillary would win because New Hampshire is a blue state, and frankly, I don’t see those uppity white folk voting for a black guy.
Real Clear Politics has the story front page:
- McCain 37, Romney 32 (91%)
- Clinton 39, Obama 36 (91%)
In a way I’m glad McCain won because Romney needs to understand that he is not the be all and end all to the problems in this country; however, Mr. McCain better take note of the fact he his moving into the South — and the south makes presidents on the Republican side. And we do have long memories — Kennedy/McCain Amnesty Bill.
On the liberal side I think Obama would be hard to beat in the general election, but Billary can be beat. From all I’ve heard her likability is not very high country wide. A lot of people just flat don’t want the another Clinton in the Whitehouse.
I do know this – we in this house are not going to vote for her and myself alone I’m terrified of how this country will be standing after a Billary term. Will we be cowering under our burka’s in the corner?
All the polls had Obama and McCain winning. They were right on the republican side. I did want Huckabee beat and thankfully that happened. I feel too many people are voting their personal issues and not issues that would affect the whole country.
Shower over, the day is before us.
Hillary and McCain have one win in their pockets. Moving on to South Carolina.
*(dear husband or damn husband, whichever mood I’m in)
