Masked in an all out assault on Gonzales comes the news …
WASHINGTON - Senate Democrats called for a perjury investigation against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on Thursday and subpoenaed top presidential aide Karl Rove in a deepening political and legal clash with the Bush administration.
This another waste of time by the liberal congress … remember how much time they’ve already wasted? Harry Reid told us … “We have had 100 hearings on Iraq and we are going to have 100 more and we are proud of it. That is in preparation for us to get our valiant troops to come home.”
This do-nothing congress can’t find anything productive to do but have hearings, slumper parties and continue to go after Karl Rove.
Wonder how much could be getting done, ie: A fence on the southern & northern borders, if they would just get over their stalking of Karl Rove?
Didn’t we all these type people “geeks” in high school?

Thanks for the recognition, Jo. I am not savvy enough to know how to do all the stuff like trackbacks, or I’d do it!
It’s all about catching differences in testimonies, as if anyone’s memory is perfect, and then they want to charge perjury. All the Dems can do is investigate, not legislate. They are truly inept and pathetic. Not to mention gravely dangerous to our country at a time of war.

First visit, by chance, and I promise to try to come back to see an answer, but…
With all due respect, there was a spying program in our country that was illegal under the laws of our Constitution.
The acting AG, specifically appointed by John Ashcroft to act in his place while he was in intensive care in the hospital, refused to sign off on this illegal activity by the Executive Branch (think President Hillary Clinton, if in doubt of where you stand on this).
Mrs. Ashcroft called the FBI and James Comey, saying that the President’s men were coming to the hospital room try to get her husband to sign a paper without them knowing about it.
The current Attorney General of the United States tells Congress that there was NO disagreement in the Dept. of *JUSTICE* over the legality of this program.
And the FBI Director, under oath, to Congress, directly contradicts that exact testimony.
Are you actually accepting, nevermind DEFENDING, this testimony from the Attorney General of the United States of America, under oath, to Congress?

I thought this was about firing attorney’s?

Jo, don’t you love it that Jan felt it necessary to yell ‘defending’ at you to boost her silliness? We know it was all another fishing expedition due to absolute failure of the Dem controlled Congress to accomplish anything. So now they want to play gotcha politics with testimony and throw the perjury card. Bunch of losers. Polling backs that up, for sure.
