The latest commercial for Raisin Bran Crunch has Mr. Smith stalking down the cube-city isle saying he is going to fire Johnson for sure this time.  Prior to his arrival at Johnson’s cube, Johnson reaches down under his desk to get something and Smith believes he’s finally gone.  Smith (who looks a lot like Kevin Spacey) starts doing a happy dance while singing “Johnson’s gone.”  Of course, as with previous commercials, Johnson pops back up with a mouthful of cereal and see’s Smith dancing.  As Smith comes around he sees Johnson sitting there and leaves – foiled again.

Poor Mr. Smith — I feel his pain.  But I’m doing a happy dance myself and no Mr. Johnson is going to ruin it. 

We had someone leave from my workplace this past month that has lifted my spirits to new heights.  Oppression sucks, and it really is bad in a workplace where you have no avenue to correct it.  So you either leave a job you totally love, or do your best to stay out of the line of sight of the oppressor.  When this person’s power base vanished a while back the morale in the office jumped two-fold; I can’t imagne how much more it will be increasing now.  I wish this person well in future ventures, as some people no know other way to treat people.

But as with all things, we must consider what we have now could prove to be worse than what was before — but my hopes are still high.  We all must have a little Joe Dirt in us.
