The USO has many programs to help soldiers and their families. I have listed them below for you to check out.

Operation Phone Home
USO Operation Phone Home is a campaign designed to provide prepaid international calling cards to as many of our service men and women overseas as possible. This program designates 100% of monetary donations to the purchase and distribution of 100, 300 and 500 minute global calling cards to deployed service members.

Operation USO Care Package
Operation USO Care Package was developed to boost morale and provide a safe and secure way for the public to show their support for our troops. USO Care Packages are delivered to service members who are either in route to an overseas assignment or are currently deployed.

Mobile USO Program
The Mobile USO program is comprised of a fleet of vehicles which bring the USO to military members located in remote and isolated areas, away from everyday life. The vehicles enable the USO to mobilize all programs and services and provide them wherever our Armed Forces go.

Gifts From the Homefront
“Gifts from the Homefront” is a program developed to enable the American public to donate gift certificates to be used by service members at base exchanges and at the commissary. Your gift will go to USO Centers stateside and overseas for distribution to military personnel.

Operation Mail Call
The USO and Pelican Art, LLC, have partnered to create Operation Mail Call. Through this program service members are given pre-paid greeting card account cards, worth 10 greeting cards each. By logging onto the internet and using the account cards, service members can have personalized greeting cards sent to their loved ones through the U.S. Postal Service.

United Through Reading®
The USO, in partnership with the Family Literacy Foundation is currently piloting the United Through Reading® program at select USO locations. This program is structured to allow service members to visit USO locations and record themselves reading a children’s book. The book will then be packaged along with the DVD to the child requested, courtesy of the USO.
