I found an article yesterday from The Hill - The Newspaper for and about the U.S. Congress. I’m sure most of you are like “duh Jo, I read that all the time.” Well, I didn’t know and you didn’t tell! :noway: — but we get off track.
This article: Dean still gives Dems heartburn - by Peter Savodnik talks about the concern democrats liberals in Washington have about Dean’s … uh … lack of mental control. Evidently the leadership in Washington, the people Dean is suppose to support by being the head of the DNC, are getting a little uncomfortable in their choice for DNC head.
An aide close to the Democratic leadership on Capitol Hill said, “There were serious concerns when Gov. Dean took over that he understand what his role was and what it wasn’t. There were meetings with the congressional leadership and Mr. Dean where it was discussed and the governor implied that he understood what his role was and was not, that he was the mechanical part of the party, not the standard bearer or message person. Subsequently, there have been episodes that have been concerning.”
You know what they say - You lay down with dogs, you’re going to get fleas.
Howard Dean may have been a stable individual before being infected with some disease in Iowa after his loss. Something snapped in his brain — you could almost here it in his “I have a Scream” speech.
But do I feel sorry for them? No — they made their choice. So if they are uncomfortable with him, can’t they just get together and boot his ass out and put someone else in the DNC head chair that doesn’t embarrass the shit out of them? Isn’t the smart thing to do is get rid of the bad apple before it infects the whole?
Well — yes, I can see you shaking your heads yes and wondering the same as I.
They won’t get rid of him because underneath their attempts to stay in the middle and proclaim their discomfort with Dean’s rantings, ravings and foot in the mouth statements as not what the party stands for — deep down underneath, they agree with him.
But — there is hope. Listening to people call into Rush and Hannity talking about how because of stuff Howard Dean has done or said has made them rethink their party warms the heart.
Keep Talking Dean.
Help the conservative base keep the Republicans in the Whitehouse in 2006 and shove Billary back to Arkansas in 2008.

Good piece on Dean. I wondered when they elected him head of the DNC what the hell they were thinking. Yes, he raised some cash on the net, but that was about all he did.
Found you through Greta at Hooah Wife, glad I did. Nice blog.
