Recap of last week’s show.
Day 31 - 6 are left and Danni thinks that she is next to go. Lydia is talking about waking up smelling eggs and sausage - must have been a dream. No one is talking about what happened at Tribal Council the night before — where Gary was voted out and it was learned that Judd is a flat out liar.
They do cartwheels to pass the time — some aren’t too bad.
Reward Challenge - Survivor Auction.
Everyone gets $500 and as we know from past shows, Jeff has the items. Money can be shared, as long as the reward is shared.
- First up is a bowl of Beef Jerky. Danni snags it for $20, but is offered a covered item in trade and nixes that idea. Good thing it was a bowl of uncooked rice.
- Next are 3 Chocolate Chip cookies with Milk and Cindy gets that for $40
- Third item is an individual mosquito net and Lydia takes that for $140. It’s evident why - she is eaten up with bug bites on her back.
- Next up is a covered item. The bidding is hot and heavy, people pooling their funds, but Danni and Rafe out bid everyone at $180 and it’s a philly steak sandwich and fries.
- Jeff comes out with a sealed envelope and tells everyone inside is an advantage in the next immunity challenge. Danni gets it for $200. Jeff shows her the wax seal and tells her it has to stay closed until the challenge.
- Jeff points off screen for the next item and as the camera pans, we see family members coming around the corner. The reward is your family member spends the night with the tribe member. You can pool money, but only one person gets the reward. Steph pools money with Lydia, as her fiance is there. Lydia’s brother is there, but she said she’d never had a chance because she didn’t have enough left. Judd pools with Cindy and comes up with $880 - and his wife gets to stay. After all the hugging is done - and can someone tell me what this guy did/done to deserve a nice looking gal like? - Jeff tells Judd he can choose to have two other tribe members’ family stay. He chooses Cindy to get her twin sister (and they even sound alike), and his “Jersey Girl” Steph. The three remaining members have to go back to the old tribe camp, while those with their family members stay at the current camp. Rafe and Lydia are upset. Lydia hasn’t seen her brother in two years, and Rafe’s mother was there. Danni was upset, but didn’t really show a lot of emotion.
Back at camp, Judd, Steph and Cindy are showing their family members around. Judd says his wife was surprised at his camping skills and was proud of him (gag).
Steph says she owes Judd for this was the second time he’s given her something after winning an award (remember the meal and he chose Bobby Jon and Steph to sit with him?).
They show Rafe, Danni and Lydia showing up at the old camp. There is talk about trust and Rafe and Danni talk about Judd being ready to break. They have to show Steph how Judd lies.
Night 31 and Judd’s wife is brain washed I think. She is so impressed with him. He must have her under mind controlling drugs or something. Cindy and her sister talk about how they use to play wilderness type games and this was neat, but hard. There is strategy talk around the fire - Danni first, but if she gets immunity, then Lydia goes.
Day 32 and the family members are helping collect firewood and talking about how barren and tough it was out there. Rafe, Danni and Lydia return and are surprised the family members are still there, but get to meet them and ask how their time was.
Soon it’s time for the family members to leave and they all walk down to the dock where they are picked up in a boat.
Back at camp, Lydia is talking Judd up about strategy. Judd says they have to vote off the strongest one.
Immunity Challenge - This is going to be hard to describe. There is a large puzzle, kind of looks like a mahjong board in a way, and each player must turn over a square to its red side and stand on it. As you move through the puzzle, when you run out of red squares, you are out. You can go all the way to the top and stop on a turn-about and move to another position.
But wait — what advantage does Danni have? Open that envelope. It reads “Switch with any player.” Jeff tells her she can use it at any point in the game. And off we go! They do speed up the frames as I’m sure this took a heck of a long time.
First out is Cindy … Then Danni uses her reward to switch with Steph. Lydia goes out next, then Rafe. Off goes Judd, who tries to argue with Jeff about having a square left, but he reminds Judd they can’t move diagonally. Steph and Danni are left, and Danni ends up winning immunity.
Back at camp, Danni and Steph are whispering — thank heavens they put the words on the screen because you can’t hear them at all. Steph wants to know what Judd was talking about earlier with Lydia. Into the camera Steph tell us that Judd has been caught in a lot of lies (we’ve been screaming that at you guys for weeks).
Rafe is worried about getting knocked out.
Steph mentions getting rid of Jude (yeah!)
Who is going home? Judd or Lydia?
Lydia is talking with Judd and to me its like she’s egging him a bit. Judd says that no one is safe and Lydia agrees, with a smug look on her face. Late Judd asks Lydia not to vote her out. Judd later tells us he thinks Lydia is going home - that someone is going home but its not going to be him.
Tribal Council
Jeff brings up the visit from the family members. Then they talk about how hard it is going to be for someone to go home tonight.
Seen Votes are for: Judd and Lydia
Jeff reads the votes: Judd, Lydia, Lydia, Judd, Judd, Judd
Judd is vote off (can we say “doing a happy dance?”!!!!!)
But does Judd go quietly? Oh No!! He shows the true colors we’ve all been seeing from the beginning. He stands up and tells them he hopes they all get eaten by an alligator (or crocodile I don’t remember) and then calls them all scumbags. There are shocked looks on everyones faces — except ours at home. We’ve known what a scum bag “he” is. He says he never told a lie — liar and calls them all scumbags again after his torch goes out. Jeff doesn’t say anything. Even in Judd’s final say at the end of the show he calls them all scum bags. At least Jamie had class and told them he was blindsided and that was how to play the game.
5 are left.
Who will be voted out next?
