Survivor: Guatemala 11/17/05
They recapped last week’s show, where Gary smashed everyones hope of voting him off by coming up with the individual immunity idol.
Night 24 – Everyone returns to camp after TC, and Jamie — my mouth runneth over — is at it again. Cindy tells us that after every TC Jamie starts a fight with someone. Jamie is taunting Cindy about knowing that Gary voted for her and she’s not responding like he wants. She just shrugs and says it doesn’t matter. Which it doesn’t Jamie. That vote is over, you need to be worrying about the next one. Jamie exchanges words with Gary and the girls are just standing there like “dude, shut the frack up!”
Day 25 – Reward Challenge
As everyone eyes a mud filled course, Jeff explains that two people will be tied together and they will race down through the obstacles (under one, over the other) and get a pot of corn. You then go back through the mud and obstacles and fill your big pot. First team to fill their pot wins reward.
And what is that? A helicopter trip to a hotel (house) on the island where they can bathe, get their clothes clean, eat good food, spend the night and wake the next morning to fresh coffee.
The race wasn’t really that close, as short-legged Lydia had trouble getting through the mud. The longer legged folks had problems yeah – it’s mud – but not as much as Lydia did.
Danni, Steph, Gary and Judd win. Jamie starts yelling at Lydia and Cindy who are still on the course to finish that they (their team) are not quitters. Cindy is like “dude, they already won, why bother?” Jamie is such an ass I hear from the couch.
The four head off in the helicopter to their reward. Dannie mentions on the ride this was the first time in a helicopter and it was neat. I can’t imagine what that poor pilot is thinking other than “I wish I had put some Vicks under my nose to mask the smell.”
They arrive at this beautiful resort where a man meets them and tells them it is his home — I’m telling you, this looked like a resort. Everyone goes out toward the pool and takes a shower. Judd does the all natural under the shower and everyone giggles but doesn’t really say much more about it. They get towels and head back up to the house for a chow down. Danni mentions loving food but that Steph can put it away.
Back at camp Lydia is feeling bad about not being able to do well in the competition, but Rafe assures her it is okay. Jamie talks to Rafe about trust but Rafe won’t give him his word on who to vote off. Jamie gets upset about this. Rafe does a solo to the camera and says the game is getting to Jamie. Jamie tells Rafe not to sucker punch him.
Back at the reward house everyone has on clean clothes and evening is upon them. They sit around the living room talking about who to vote off next. Gary says that he knows he is next to go so he wants to connect with the three others there. There is talk about voting Jamie off.
Morning and back at the reward house the four walk up the stairs to the smell of coffee. They have 6 different flavors to choose from. Steph says they tried all of them.
While sitting around eating breakfast and drinking coffee the owner of the house brings everyone a box. Inside are video tapes from home. Everyone watches them and gets to see a part of the other players’ lives.
Back at camp the four arrive “to the hell hole,” Judd says. Steph has snagged some single packets of coffee – knowing the Cindy loves coffee. Cindy is elated.
Immunity Challenge. Each player is attached to a rope that is tied through an obstacle course. Go through the first part of the course and the first 4 move on to the second part. We’ve seen a course like this before, the rope is tied all different ways around the obstacle and you have to twist yourself around, over, under and through to move on.
Rafe, Jamie, Steph and Cindy win the first leg.
The second portion of the course is 3 levels high. So now they have to twist over, under, through and up to win. First person to finish this part wins immunity.
It is neck and neck for a while, but Rafe pulls it out in the end. Cindy came in second and has a bloody knee to show for it.
Back at camp and everyone is congratulating Rafe. Gary says he gave it his best shot. He feels like he’s going home tonight. Judd says he is going to vote Gary out. Why hasn’t Gary told everyone where he found the idol – that it wasn’t on the ground like Judd said it was? Oh well. Judd says Jamie may get one vote – from Gary.
Jamie says Gary is a threat and he is working the “plan”. Jamie asks Cindy if the plan is going to stay and mentions he is scared. Jamie is Mr. Paranoid and is getting on everyones nerves. So, why don’t they vote him out instead of sitting around talking about the “plan”? Plans change — get rid of him already!
Well here we go, Lydia, Steph and Jamie talk about voting Jamie off. Yeah!
Tribal Council and the Jury is brought in.
There is talk about the reward challenge and how the four enjoyed getting to know the other people. Jamie talks about how everyone is so close in the tribe. Dude you can’t see the looks on some of these people’s faces. Maybe Mr. Whiner is finally going to go home.
Vote. We see three written down: Gary, Jamie and Gary. Jeff goes and gets the pot and starts reading.
Gary, Gary, Jamie, Jamie, Jamie, Jamie, and Jamie! YIPEEEE Jamie is voted off. He stands up and looks at the rest of the tribe and yells, “Blindsided. Now that’s the way to vote someone off!”
7 Remain.
2 on the Jury
Who will be voted out next?

I hate Jamie so much & I’m so glad he’s gone, but I’m worried about what’s next. The only people on the tribe that I think should go are Judd & Gary (Judd for being a dork & Gary for this whole “me? a football player?” crap). I guess all I mean is it was so easy to hate Jamie & now we’ve got nice people – Steph, Rafe, Lydia – they’re all so genuine. I hate to see them start getting really plotty against each other.
