Doctor’s Appt.

by Jo | November 16th, 2005

Went to the doctor yesterday for my second check-up since starting insulin.

We had started reducing my Actos intake from 45mg daily to 15mg daily. There was concern that my numbers would start crawling back up toward the 200 mark, but doc had told me to increase my Lantus by 2 units if that happened.

It didn’t.

Also, I had only gained 1 pound from the last visit (Thank you Lord). I’m hoping the weight gain has slowed down now and I’m where working at getting it “off” actually happens.

I do have to get a flu shot as soon as he gets them in. He told me he’s ordered 600 for the season and so far has only gotten 150 in. They are due in Thursday and I being a diabetic can get moved toward the top of the list. I would rather the elderly and children with an illness get one before me, but I have to have one either way.

  1. I took the little diabetes test, ya know the one you have posted to see if I’m at risk… I scored a 0, I guess that’s a relief. The Army kinda instills in my a healthy lifestyle so I hope to stay away from that.

Regardless I’ll be praying for you Jo.

  2. Stay Healthy, as you are. (^_^) It’s good that you take good care of yourself. Oh, b.t.w…I may have helped a friend, from what you’ve posted here… (She’s checking tomorrow) Thanks!

  3. I really hope your friend doesn’t have this condition, but if she does — getting treatment started quickly is great!
