   I enjoy your site, Jo. Love Col. Hunt! My husband was in Iraq just before the war began and what the post from Two Babes says rings true with thoughts he has about the situation.

   I got my nails done on Wednesday, and the owner and her husband (and everyone who works there) are Vietnamese. I’ve been going there for nearly 8 years, so we know each other pretty well.

   She told me on Wednesday to tell my husband how grateful she is that he’s over there helping out the Iraqis. She was little during the Vietnam War but said, “People here in America, they don’t know what it’s like to live under oppression and to not know how to take care of themselves and rise up. Someone needs to help and I’m glad we’re helping the Iraqis.”

   She’s right though. Most Americans don’t get it because they’ve never experienced life under the regime of Saddam Hussein…and that’s a damn good thing.

   We are spoiled rotten in this country because we were fortunate enough to be born to parents smart enough to live here.
