Sitting here playing around on Pogo.com and listening to Shep do the news on Fox and he just finished up a story about a shoting in Atlanta of two suspects of a bank robbery in Phenix City, Alabama. The suspects were located in the mall in Columbus, GA and before it ended, a Lt. with the CPD was wounded three times and in the hospital. This morning, the suspects were found outside of Atlanta. One of them came out of the hotel shooting at police and he was shot to death; the other guy is in custody. An FBI Agent was wounded in the incident.

Manhunt For Two Suspects Ends East of Atlanta

As News Leader 9 first reported this morning in a special report, the manhunt for two Alabama bank robbery suspects who wounded a Columbus, Georgia, police officer ended about 9:30 Thursday morning after a shootout with F-B-I agents at a Conyers, Georgia, motel.

Authorities tell News Leader 9 one suspect — 25-year-old Morgan Chigawa — was killed in the shootout.

He and 20-year-old Malik Salman Elawad were wanted for the aggravated assault of a police officer stemming from a Monday bank robbery in Phenix City, Alabama. Elawad was taken into custody.

The good guys won this time. The Lt. from the CPD has been updated to stable condition and the local news says the FBI Agent was shot in the leg and is expected to recover completely.
